The Rev. Dr. Harry W. McDowell, II,
B.A., M.Div., D.Div

Pastor Skip
McDowell received his B. A. from Muhlenberg College (cum laude), and his
Master of Divinity and Doctor of Divinity degrees from the Lutheran
Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He became the Associate Pastor at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Glenside in 1975, and was elected to the position
of Senior Pastor in 1978. Skip and his wife Pam have been married for 34
years and have two married children—a son Tim, and a daughter Suzanne.
Pastor McDowell has served on the Board of Directors of Lutheran Children
and Family Service, spent 10 years as the Senior Chaplain at the Region 7
Institute for Congregational Ministry (a theological education seminar for
all new pastors in the region), and served on the Institutional Review Board
of the Fox Chase Cancer Center. For the last 10 years he has also served as
a counselor at Camp Dost, for children and teens with cancer. Skip loves
music, and spends his spare time reading and helping his children with home
improvements. |
The Rev. Julie K.
DeWerth, B.A., M. Div.

Pastor DeWerth is a
graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota and The Lutheran Theological Seminary
in Philadelphia. She has served St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lionville, Pennsylvania, and
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. She has three sons, Samuel, Luke and
Jacob and joined the staff at St. Paul's, Ardmore, on
June 1, 1998. |
Andrew Heller, Director of Music
| Andrew Heller has
a degree in music education and organ from Temple University. He has served churches in
the Philadelphia area since 1972. At St. Paul's he directs the adult, youth and children's
choirs, handbells and a brass ensemble. Mr. Heller came to St. Paul's in 1997. He lives in
Philadelphia with his wife, Jane Knappe, and son Brian. |

Julia Price Friedgen, Soprano
| Julia Price Friedgen,
soprano soloist/section leader at St. Paul's since 1995, has a BM from
Indiana University, an Artist Diploma from The Curtis Institute of Music and
from Temple University, an MM in Voice Performance, a Professional Studies
Certificate in Opera and an MA in Speech-Language-Pathology. Her solo
performances have been heard at Alice Tully Hall in NYC, the Academy of
Music in Philadelphia, and at various churches throughout the greater
Philadelphia area. Currently, in addition to being section leader at St. Paul's, teaching
private voice students and performing as a freelance singer around the area,
Mrs. Friedgen
works as a Speech-Language-Pathologist. In the future, she would like to combine her
talents by working with professional voice users who have vocal pathologies. |

Mildred V.
Parker, Secretary

Millie is the
parish secretary at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. For the past 18 years she was office
manager for a podiatrist. She has 3 children, Christine, Robin and Don. She
also has
four grandchildren. |

Karen joined the staff at Saint Paul’s
in April 2005. Previously, she worked as a writer, editor and project
manager for a consulting business. Karen has one child, Anita. |
