The Rev. Dr. Harry W. McDowell, II, B.A., M.Div., D.Div

Pastor Skip McDowell received his B. A. from Muhlenberg College (cum laude), and his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Divinity degrees from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.  He became the Associate Pastor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Glenside in 1975, and was elected to the position of Senior Pastor in 1978.  Skip and his wife Pam have been married for 34 years and have two married children—a son Tim, and a daughter Suzanne.  Pastor McDowell has served on the Board of Directors of Lutheran Children and Family Service, spent 10 years as the Senior Chaplain at the Region 7 Institute for Congregational Ministry (a theological education seminar for all new pastors in the region), and served on the Institutional Review Board of the Fox Chase Cancer Center.  For the last 10 years he has also served as a counselor at Camp Dost, for children and teens with cancer.  Skip loves music, and spends his spare time reading and helping his children with home improvements.
