In addition to the financial support of the above
ministries,
Saint Paul
’s seeks ways to provide “sweat equity” (hands-on support).
In particular, members prepare food and feed nearly 200 homeless
people once a month; travel to the Northwest Territories with On
Eagle’s Wings to help with Vacation Bible School; members help with
Habitat for Humanity projects; host two Red Cross Blood Drives every
year; purchase gifts for foster children at Christmas; purchase infant
formula for babies in low-income families through “Baby Manna;”
participate in the annual CROP Walk to raise money to help stop hunger;
collect clothes for a host of different organizations; make and provide
meals for homebound elderly (Aid for Friends); and, in cooperation with
our neighboring Episcopal church, provide assistance to homeless
families.
